2013 Sets New Records for Wilmette Institute

In 2013 the Wilmette Institute has continued to grow—with more students, more faculty, more countries represented, more course offerings. Its 991 learners resided in 51 countries. Including faculty and learners, the 2013 courses had 1,168 participants. Of the 34 courses offered in 2013, thirteen were offered the first time, far more than in any previous year. In comparison, in 2012 the Wilmette Institute had 837 learners (970 participants, including both learners and faculty) in 26 courses, residing in 40 countries. The total number of learners who have registered for our courses since January1998, when we offered our first online course, now stands at 7,039. In the sixteen years since it started teaching on-line courses, the Institute has offered 256 courses. The year 2014 promises to see continued growth, with at least three new courses to be offered.
