Peter Adriance

peter-adriancePeter Adriance served for 26 years as Representative for Sustainable Development in the U.S. Bahá’í Office of Public Affairs, located in Washington, DC. Until he retired in 2016, he represented the Bahá’í International Community and the Bahá’ís of the U.S. at numerous national and international fora on sustainable development issues. In 2009, he received the Interfaith Bridge Builder’s Award from the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington DC “for his passionate commitment to inter-religious care for the earth.” He also helped found the International Environment Forum – a Bahá’í-inspired organization addressing the environment and sustainable development, and served for many years on its Governing Board.
