Student Projects: Building a Library

The Wilmette Institute is building a library of student projects submitted at the ends of courses and considered worthy of sharing with fellow learners and faculty. Recent updates to Moodle, the Institute’s course-delivery system and other upgrades are making this possible.

In November the staff uploaded a new student project to Verne Larson took the Wilmette Institute’s course on Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, which involved a slow reading of this important compilation of passages from Bahá’u’lláh’s revelation, and decided to make her class project a collection of short, pithy, memorable statements from the book. The result is Verne Larson, Aphorisms from Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh.

In August the staff uploaded three projects:

  • Ramez Rowhani, Timeline of the Life of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh (Life of Bahá’u’lláh, 2013)
  • Nancy Lee Harper , Interview with Hooper Dunbar
  • Larry Staudt, Nature: A Bahá’í Perspective

As time permits, the staff will also be uploading some student projects dating back to 2005, as well as new ones.
